Kris co-founded Brothers Empowered to Teach, a New Orleans based 501c3 organization. She served as the Chief Operations Officer, focusing on growth strategy; developing and managing an annual budget of over $2M. She is currently a Commissioner and Finance Chair for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority.

Kris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Metropolitan Studies from New York University and a Master of Science in Urban Policy and Management with a concentration in Community Development Finance from The New School. She is also an alumnus of the WK Kellogg Community Leadership Network Fellowship and Propeller Impact and Growth Accelerator Fellowship

Kris is a connector and has an incredible ability to bring people together and build lasting relationships. As a community developer, she has experience bringing educators, bankers, developers, business owners, and elected officials to the table to make communities safer, stronger, and more sustainable.
